How long does it take to become debt free?

The length of time it takes for you to complete our debt settlement program and become debt free is based on the amount of debt you are settling and the amount of funds you have available to pay the settlements.  A typical settlement program lasts 15-36 months.  It should not take you more than 36 months to become completely debt free of all debts you report to DebtEliminator101.  Depending on your debt load and financial capabilities it could take less time. 

Again, it is important to remember that you should report all open accounts to DebtEliminator101 in order to expedite the settlement process.  It is easier to settle all of your accounts in one program, then to leave some open only to settle them later.  This would add to the length of the time that you are enrolled in the settlement program. 

We encourage you, once you have joined the program, to put all that is possible into your settlement account.  This account, set up by you when you join the program, will hold your money until a settlement has been reached and you have the funds necessary to pay your creditors.  The more money you put into the account each month, the sooner you will be able to settle with your creditors.  It is important for you to curtail all unnecessary spending and especially to freeze all credit card usage.  As you work to save up the money for your settlement, we work with your creditors to arrange an appropriate settlement.  When we have reached a deal that both you and the creditor agree to, you pay them from your account, and you are no longer in that creditor’s debt.  You then pay your next debt, or a settled amount of it, and so on until you are debt free.  Again, this process should not take more than 36 months, but is dependant on your ability to save up the funds necessary to meet the settlements.  We will work on our end to reach the best settlement for you, requiring you to pay the least amount of money to your creditors as is possible.  Thus, you control how long your debt settlement program will last.
